We received the green light on Monday that those families who receive the produce from the Giving Garden will be signing up to volunteer and work in the garden! RCS is also helping Valley Outreach build a kitchen addition to the food shelf where they will be teaching cooking and nutrition classes to those who utilize the food shelf. We will have lots of hands helping in the garden this year! The ALC high school students will soon be involved in the planning of the 2011 Giving Garden! They will be taking into consideration crop rotation, those crops that produced well, those that didn't and need to be replaced.
In the meantime... our garden sleeps!
